Through out this project I recognized that I do have big goals to work for and it’s important that I stay on track. One of the larger goals is to find a job in law enforcement that I enjoy and to continue working for it until I reach my goal. A strength that was noted was creativity. At first I had no clue what I wanted to do or what I wanted to build but after taking some time to actually think it through I thought I came up with a really cool idea.
I also used my strength of creativity on the backside of my vision board by coming up with a different way to display my magazine cutouts by making a pattern.
Another strength was being able to think on my feet, my original plan didn’t go through because the one time I needed drift wood at the dog beach I wasn’t able to get it so I had to come up with a new idea quick because I had two days to create it.
An area I would need to work on was planning on another idea if my first one didn’t work out. I had put a lot of time in creating my design and what I was going to have on it and I should've spent a little less on the main idea and created a back up. I believe I put a lot of effort into the design and I was really excited with creating the piece but due to my problem I think I went down a level of personal effort. I was frustrated with not having drift wood which I wanted to then just get the project over with. Most of what I was planning on to put on the driftwood I couldn’t because it wouldn’t look as good on a shoe box or whatever I changed it to. After creating a new idea and finding magazine clippings that I liked I believe that my final product showed about an 8.8/10 of personal effort. I think that my vision board has two big 3D elements. The first one is my two main goals “popping out” and my second 3D element is making it into a box popping out also so it is not on a flat piece of cardboard. I think it was in between above expectations and between expectations.
